The week of the New Year, we had to have our gas-fired steam boiler replaced.
The old one was -- to use technical terminology -- kaput.
Among the many mysterious maneuverings that went on in the boiler room was a rather intimate digital portrait of That Old House, taken by Joe the heating engineer, who boldly went where no man has gone before:
Right up her -- you should pardon the expression -- flue. All 4 stories' worth.
Yikes. That Old House is blushing.
She feels quite, well, exposed -- poor old dear.

Flowers in my sunroom and dining room,

Many thanks to all the kind souls who supported our family last week.

ReplyDeleteIt is the heart of one who feels the pain that understands another heart that feels the same. Underneath the smile in our eyes, a tear escapes quietly. My heart and love to you, as you remember the most wonderful moments you and your mother shared together and also who she was. I do believe that they can hear us when we tell them how wonderful each remembered moment was. To feel such overwhelming feeling lets me know this most certainly is not the end of our love even if we can no longer see them. Blessings in Jesus to you.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful..as are the memories of your dear mom. Remember the things you laughed with her about..it helps your heart!
