My First Ebay Sales!

It was extremely nerve-wracking, but I survived the listing and auction of the furniture Howard and I picked up in Connecticut two weeks ago. And then discovered we couldn't use, and decided to try and sell on Ebay. Which . . . we did.

The rustic country French table with the breadboard leaves sold:

As did the set of 8 carved rose-velvet side chairs:

Which did have nice details:

I did it.
The table and chairs are all still in my house,
but I'm hoping they'll toddle off on their bow-legged French legs to their new homes soon.

And that's my Show And Tell for Friday! Thanks to Cindy of My Romantic Home for hosting. Go visit!

Have a wonderful weekend, my blogging friends. I am still mostly at the hospital with Pop. -- Cass

  1. Congratulations! You did it!!!! I'm sure they will be gone soon -- soon you'll be an Ebay pro!

  2. I certainly wish I had know about those chairs! Of course, I don't know how I would have gotten them here ... minor detail.

  3. Well good for you! We sold a car on ebay, and it was a major pain in the a**. But, it did sell, and it did get picked up eventually.

Hey it's sunny in CT today, hope you're getting some sun too.

  4. Oh, I so love that table! And those chairs would have found a loving home here
    xoxo Pattie

  7. Glad you got your things sold. Love & blessings from NC!

  8. I've never bought or sold anything on Ebay, it scares me! I'm glad you were able to sell your table and chairs:)

  9. Hooray for you, Cass!! I am not that familiar with eBay but if you are excited, well I am too!!

Hope your father is doing better.

  10. Way to go - you will be trading on the NYSE soon!

  11. Glad to hear you got them sold. I would not know where to begin to sell something on EBay.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  12. Hi Cass,
I have sold several things on E-Bay, and it can be nerve wracking. I am always surprised when something of mine get's sold but that table is just wonderful! I bet they will love it!

  13. Super Duper! Congratulations!

  14. Congrats! I have plans to sell a bedroom dresser on Craigslist within the next 2 weeks. Never did like the silly thing anyway so someone else hopefully will enjoy it in their home.

  15. New to blogland and found your site. Your home is gorgeous and you are quite hilarious. I will be dropping in to see more for sure. I have a sheltie so I was very interested in your little dog. Very sweet. I am a cat-lover too so I don't know if you would be interested in my blog but I would be happy to see you there. Deb

  16. Oh the wonders of E-Bay....there is nothing like it...We have sold many peices of furniture over the years shipping stuff as far away as california....The crazy person paid $1150.00 just for shipping!!....isn't it great to sit in the comfort of your own home and make money so easy!
