On Saturday, daughter Anne, doggy Dion, and I roamed the roads of eastern Pennsylvania. Anne took pictures of houses for a design class; I bought -- well, you will see what I bought on Monday and Tuesday.
But today, being Sunday, is a day of rest.
Witness Mr. Dion DiPoochy, who is still exhausted from his outing yesterday,
where he did the hard work of navigating from his safe berth in the back of the van.

He also celebrated his 11th birthday! Greek yogurt all around. We told him it was ice cream.

With Spring popping up all over the place, I can take a look back at Summer,
and anticipate. . . .
From September 14, 2009:
I spent most of this past weekend outside, as we had a 2-day yard sale.
When you are outside that much, you really notice Fall shouldering its way into the yard and garden. I don't like it; I love summer.
So today's Mosaic, as I join Mary at Little Red House for her Mosaic Monday party, is a compilation of pictures from May, June and July. . . they are things I miss as the days grow shorter and chillier, and less soft and green:
See you tomorrow! -- Cass

And I will see you tomorrow, with a mosaic of old houses of Frenchtown, New Jersey,
some other pictures from our Saturday wanderings across state lines,
the cheapest thing I ever bought at an antiques shop,
and
a peek at the dishes we brought home.
I love them.
Annie thinks they are hideous, and look like a Kindergarten project.
We'll report, you'll decide. -- Cass

Happy Birthday sweet Dion!
ReplyDeleteSpring -- with a foot of snow that fell yesterday, I find it hard to believe that it is spring!
ReplyDeleteOliver sends Dion best birthday wishes -- and did Dion save him any yogurt? -- er, ice cream? Oliver is a year older -- he will be 12 in April.
Can't wait to see your treasures. With snow all day yesterday, there was no treasure hunting on the prairie.
I need flowers, I need summer let alone spring.
