Time Traveling

So I am not at That Old House;
haven't been since Wednesday morning.

I am here. . . .



Daughter Anne and I are in Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia.
Until tomorrow.
When we head back to New Jersey, with a couple of auction finds in the back of the minivan.

 We were lucky to be here for the ritual sacrifice of some tourists.

The main drag through the colonial area is Duke of Gloucester Street, or "DOG Street."
Which most people think is because of the initials of the name of the street.
But which I think is because dog owners love walking their pooches down this car-free mile.

I couldn't resist taking a picture of two Corgis taking their owners for a stroll.

    Hanging out in my neck of the woods, huh. Hasn't the weather been totally glorious for touristing? I love Williamsburg ... I live within an hour and a half of it, and I don't get there nearly often enough. Have fun!!

    Ah you sure picked some pretty weather to go to Wmsbg. Your first photo--is like an old mixed-feeling kind of friend as for so long I worked on a counted cross stitch of that, but the shades of bricks got so tedious..eventually it was put aside and never finished. Alas.

    We love Williamsburg.....been going there since we were kids....I always wanted to buy one of those blue and white lamps with the state name on it....after being in Jersey for 6 months last year I might have to rethink buying that one.....I guess I am officially a Southerner.
