all over our borders, much to my amusement and dog Dion's frustration.
He can see them out of the windows, but they pay him no nevermind at all.

"Robert Tuttle," it says; he grew up in That Old House, back around the turn of the century. The last century.
I wonder if his Mom was annoyed that he carved his name in the wall? I hope not.

Do you know that I have never seen a Bleeding Heart flower in real life? They just fascinate me...sooo very pretty! I'm tellin' ya...Mr. Chipmunk sure has a fabulous abode at your place! I spotted that little guy right away. That would drive Lily crazy! Your bleeding hearts are beautiful! Our bleeding heart was from my grandmothers house and it has traveled with us to 3 homes! A favorite. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI spotted the chipmonk immediately! :) It has figured out Dion can't get out on his own. I have 2 that visit my courtyard area. When I don't see them for a while, I am afraid one of the neighborhood cats found them - then they pop up again. They are very skittish. Your flowers are beautiful!

Wow, he is so tiny-I didn't realize they were so small! We don't have those little cuties over here so I love it when people from the US post pictures of chipmunks and squirrels.

We have a back yard tenant as well. Same rodent family = a RAT. When I first saw him I thought it was a squirrel and then there was that tell tale tail. It has given new life to our old terrier - he has a purpose in life now. Life in the city!!

In our old house, when we renovated the fish pod all our kids got to write or mark the new concrete before we refilled the pond. In the years to follow those marks were lovely to look back on every time we cleaned the pond out.
