It's Saturday, and it's July!



It's a gorgeous summer weekend in New Jersey!
Here at That Old House, we are celebrating and we are grateful!

That's why on days it looks like this:

. . . we are outside, rejoicing in the gift of a summer day. Today is a graduation party for my niece.
Tomorrow, my oldest friend, Mardi, and her husband come for dinner.

Step away from your computers, ladies and gents, and enjoy the gifts of summer!

    I do try to step away. Yesterday I was in front of my computer from 7am - 5pm. I took a break to shower! I will try to walk away today.

    What a lovely weekend. Today Don is allowed to drive for the first time since his surgery so we'll be out for a little while enjoying our wonderful weather too - then probably sit in the little grove of trees out back and enjoy it more - with iced tea - and graham crackers - I love graham crackers.

    We had a wonderful "outside" day.
    Now we will eat dinner, watch a movie and then fireworks at our nearest town...

    I love summer the best with flowers and sunshine and gardens growing and kids playing and remember the days of clean sheets on the line in the yard along with fresh lemonade? Enjoy your company.

    Amen to a beautiful, sunny day! I was thinking the other day that snow and winter clothes will be here all too soon. Summer and flip flops can stay as long as possible.
