Happy Birthday to a Hero

Something different today from That Old House.

It is Will McCotter's 26th Birthday.

I don't know Will, and you probably don't, either.
But I do know that he deserves our attention on this day.

You can read about Will at the Three Petunias blog, hosted by Tricia Boutelle.  Yesterday Tricia asked blogger friends if we'd post today about Will, his service to our country, and his fight with cancer that's got him at Walter Reed Hospital on his birthday instead of out celebrating with his friends.

Visit Tricia here to read about Will, and leave him a birthday message.

Let's help make sure this young man knows that there are loads of people praying and cheering for him.

Happy Birthday, Will McCotter!

  2. Sounds like a great post to bring over to my place too. On my way to read about it. I was actually wishing all October babies a happy birthday earlier this week since it's my birthdday month as well as our son's and many friends we know. I will definitely add Will. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, love your batty bats. :)

It means so much to me, and I know that it does to him as well.

  6. I've actually been following this (I must have gotten there from your blog?) and it breaks my heart - but I haven't given up hope and pray for him and his family everyday.

Thank you for visiting That Old House; it's always exciting to find new comments -- they are treasured! Because of increasing spam, I have reluctantly eliminated "Anonymous" commenting. Legitimate anonymous commenters, please forgive me! You might try using "Open ID" instead. Blogger's spam software worked for a good long time, but, sadly, no longer.
